Marcus, that song describes perfectly one side of my family when I was a kid. Nothing as cheery as alcohol and Christmas gunfire.
One Christmas eve my cousin asked if I could go pick up her daughters boyfriend and gave a story about he had to be back before 1100 because his room mates were going to work and did not have a spare key to give him. I said OK, so me and her daughter took off to get him and she was giving directions...lo and behold we ended up at a halfway house. He had to be back by 1100 by court order, no keys or room mates involved.
