Tough call, Alw. I'd buy her a small something and say...."I know you didn't want to exchange gifts but you know nothing in the world means as much to me as you and I want you to be aware of that at all times."

Afternoon, Woods.....the safe is in da house (Garoffice). Four guys with the right stuff and knew what they were doing took little less than an hour. Managed to figure out the combination...not too hard when you can see the tumblers.

 

Good deal. My friend bought a 3x5 old fire safe at an auction. Doesn't know the combo. Thing has to be over 2000 pounds. Going to cost home to get the combo figured out.

 

I had been given the combination years ago but lost it. I must have taken the door off years ago, but I really don't remember. I had access to get to the tumblers....Now i have to figure out what I'm going to do with it....just clean up or full blown restoration..

 

Next year I'll be looking for a safe. A super cheap safe. Mainly for long guns. My closet is full.

 

Where you live, I'd buy a safe before I bought any more guns...... A few years ago, I came close to getting a new gun safe worth about $2k for non payment of storage fees at our place. Damn guy showed up the day before the auction and paid the rent off.

 

Going to be strapped for cash for a while after this Grendel build. Going to keep my eye out for a used safe.

 

Haven't seen one of these in a while...
