TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part X
Here is what I know, I have an air router, with a netgear switch and a block of 8 IP's for the office. I figured (without ever checking) the network was somewhat secure since I use a preferred DNS and you can't get into the router using the 192.168.... It's like stormtrooper proof.
My buddy Brian tells me to just go to whatsmyip and see what it came up with... I'll be damn, came up with the real IP. So, Now I need a firewall.

Going to attend a ceremony honoring the fallen at Pearl Harbor. Gets me thinking about the military and what stays with us all of our days. I recall having Nile Kinnick's letter to his parents read to me and my eyes filling with tears. Kinnick won the Heisman Trophy in 1939 at Iowa and died during WWII.
"There is no reason in the world why we shouldn't fight for the preservation of a chance to live freely, no reason why we shouldn't suffer to uphold that which we want to endure. May God give me the courage to do my duty and not falter." Later, he added, "Every man whom I've admired in history has willingly and courageously served in his country's armed forces in times of danger. It is not only a duty but an honor to follow their example the best I know how. May God give me the courage and ability to so conduct myself in every situation that my country, my family, and my friends will be proud of me."
