Hearing would be okay ... smelling? no thanks
Evenin Woods, 13 hours of shufflin yesterday,11 of shufflin today. The windy weather caused a number of power outages. I’ve been deploying and then retrieving portable diesel generators. It’s tough werk for an old man.
That's a valid concern. I had a cubicle style desk rip the brackets out and the front edge slid down my shins. Big crt monitor slid on my lap, and there I sat, in some pain gripping that monitor so it wouldn't shatter on the floor. Took a couple guys to unwedge me, and since there was blood, company policy sent me to the doc. All the stuff I worked with that would smash, crush, burn and electrocute you, and I got nailed by a freaking computer.
With important machines in chemical plants, you don't want people installing anything or do anything to them that will screw up the machine. These machines, while not running, can cause havoc. So we recommend them to be locked in a room or cabinet. Or in a seperate part of the plant, maybe an office. Just shoot a fiber line and we're good to go.
Fire news is so bad! Glad to not live up against the woods (the tree kind). 50,000 people evacuated. Winds of 70 mph today.
