I tell her, go to a hobby shop. No problem, she says. One aisle over she throws a pack of popsicle sticks in the cart. What are those for I ask.

She says, I kid you not, I will use those instead of wicks.

Huh? She tells me she will cut them, put them in the melted wax as a wick.

Uh, Sherri.....that will make the house smell like you are attempting to burn it down.
Mick, I feel your pain......hahahahahhah

Marcus, Sherri is a very bright lady but I had to question the thought process on that one.

You can build cheaper than buying one already assembled and you can choose the components you want (though that may add to the cost). A buddy of mine has built 6 or 7 in the last few years.

The fact that most women do not understand physics and science is not such a big deal....but when they then criticize and question men when they try to stay within the limits of those fields is what infuriates me.

I'm a real fan of the DPMS machines. BBA (Before Boating Accident) I had two of them. A LR .308 and 5.56 version.

I think I'm sticking with .556. I have a friend here who has built several and I need to talk to him. I'm thinking about doing more than talking about it after Christmas.
