TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part X
Thanks. Never pulled a m/c engine before. Used to using a cherry picker on cars. Looked like it should slide right out but it wouldn't. On the cars I built I'd have double layers of moving pads on everything. Looks like just removing cylinder head cover cap will make it a lot easier. Engine won't be going in for a while, this is supposed to last all winter to get done.
We used blocks to get the engine damn near where it would go just outside the frame and then two of us on each side picked it up and slid it in.
I think you will find now that the bike is completely stripped it will be easier getting it back in the frame. Old paint, dirt, rust and electrical will make getting a motor out of the frame twice as hard.
The government of Turkey is gonna be pissed when they find out the stuff you installed is going on sale Friday.

I think there is still one a couple towns over. I think they keep it open so the kids graduating from the nearby college with engineering degrees can get a job.

Mornin, Original. Yep, very dweeby fellas working there when I went in. Later on they become goober assistants like Russ has.
Mornin OG! I thought that was what Starbucks was for?
Yeah, going to keep it all original looking. Well,,,except that the tank and side covers will match. New from the factory they didn't match. Bike will never be worth much money, but I won't have much into it. Cheap price to maintain my sanity over the winter.
