Probably not the real name but that's what we call it round these parts. It's like a 5 foot long pry bar that we use to get the chunk of ice out the lake when we are ice fishing. We cut the hole in the ice with a chainsaw then use "spuds" to pry it out.

The Brass will be there? How are they to deal with normally?

We call it a pry bar. Nothing special is it? Got a pic?

Now I'm seeing all kinds of names for them, pry bar, digging bar, pinch bar..sheesh no wonder we call them all spuds.

The political situation amongst the military here is still in upheaval since the coup attempt of 2016. The generals watch over their subordinates like a hawk lest some finger pointing begin and people are hauled off for disloyalty. No one seems to trust anyone, but I can say I don't blame them. Many people were executed for "following orders" last year.

Hahaha, we call the pry bars. Pinch bars are the 2 footers. We have to keep it simple for welders.

Just call it a "thingee", unless you call your thingee a thingee then you could get confused
