TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part X
After lunch check in. it's funny ACE hardware now sells craftsman. Looking for a new 3/8 drive ratchet they had 4 different models. $6, $11,$16 and $33. I'm thinking $33 has to be the US made one......nope.
Cool Lou!
Someday that will be worth tens of dollars!
(But the memories made are priceless) Giggle.

We probably paid the shipping.
Jeeeeeez Mark, the $33 unit is stage 1. Doh
Back in the 90's, I'd buy boxes of nails (maybe 25 or 50 lbs, I forget) for $10 or $15. Box would say " MADE IN CHINA WITH US STEEL".... now what did it cost to ship rusted out junk cars to China, process the steel, make the nails and ship them back?
Booyah!

A buddy of me goes to swap meets and goodwill all the time looking for deals. He sees people getting rid of the old craftsmen stuff. Like the stuff from the 50's area.
People have no clue what it's worth and give it away to the needy.
He finds all kind of stuff. Nuts.
