Got some flying done yesterday. Went up for 3.3 hours. Going to do it again today. Calibration of the HF spectrum went pretty good but the VHF was another story due to the terrain. The mountains here just tore up the line of sight signal. We are looking for another location that is accessible where we can place the transmitter that isn't in Syria....
You'll have to explain when you get back. I guess I'm not sure what kind of system you're doing. I figured it was just the normal camera and Infrared.
So you set up a transmitter on the ground to imitate something that they would be trying to find, right?
Cool. Won't they run into the same issues themselves, though? Or are you just trying to prove the concept works?
We're just proving the concept. The eggheads can program the system to make it more reliable but you have to have a clean calibration for it to be effective.
