Usually 5° is about all you're gonna get. I don't know why these guys think it can be closer, especially on a half assed install for a demo.

Greetings Woodites.....
Just in from the garage a while ago. Almost complete on some needed work to the VB (GL1100) occurring over the last number of evenings and last weekend.
Basically the carb-pak issues, clean and new hoses for the cooling system and new timing belts to replace the 35 yr old belts (interference engine).
The carbs looked pretty darn good to me, but my Indy found carbs 1 & 3 had the jets drilled out by some Einstein for some unknown reason. Dumping too much fuel there. Carbs/Cylinders 2&4 had normal untouched jets and ran great on that side. I couldn't see it initially (the jet issues) without some closer inspection.
Have been putting her together all week and slipped the carb-pack back in tonight.
I'll be dammed if she doesn't run like a finely tuned sewing machine. Just in time for winter. LOL
I'm out gents.

G'Mornin', Woods

Stan, good to hear the VB is running right. I hate working on a mess somebody else made....
