Afternoon check in......soda blasting test is complete and the score is ....FAIL ! The HF unit worked fine, no problems with that despite most of the crappy reviews. The problem is that the soda media is not really very abrasive for cleaning cast aluminum.....made it a little lighter but just can't clean up any darkened stains in the metal. It's going back. I guess I'm spoiled with my bead blast cabinet . Might try a portable pressure blaster with walnut shells media next.

 

Look at the bright side, if that doesn't do it you can at least enjoy a nice ambrosia salad.

 

No local blasters in your area that you can go to?

 

Maybe, but they are sitting in the aisles with food. Really creepy.

 

Didn't even check, be too much of a PITA. I just like doing things myself plus I get to buy more tools. Wish I could fit it in my bead blast cabinet though.

Well the ones in my family do, sometimes we even let them play. Had to elbow my way into the game when I was younger. Grouchy ole coots wouldn't let me play, now they want me on their team.
