Safety first Mick. I would be afraid that quill would attract dump trucks so go with the white sneakers.

Later, Tim.

Installed a new intake and PV tuner on the wifes bike last night. It's starting to shape up nicely.

First time using one of those Power Vision units. It was much simpler than I thought it would be.

I started looking for a "project bike" a week ago. Something cheap to refurbish/restore that will keep me amused over the winter. A bike that I will put too much money and time into, play with it for a year or so and sell it for a loss. I narrowed it down to 70's bikes, a Honda or Triumph. I've had my first real taste of "C****list"....and concluded that half the people on there must be idiots.

A: 1971 Honda CB450, looks original, decent shape, local and priced at $700. Good candidate. Email the guy the day after the ad hits and hear NOTHING from him. Email again three days later, no response. Either he isn't very interested in selling it, or he sold it already, in which case either take the ad down or reply "It's Sold"

B: 1979 Triumph Bonneville. Great condition and priced at $2,000. Ad appears in two surrounding areas. Quick search on value puts the bike from $4k-$6K. E mail guy...no response. Did deeper and find out the very same bike was sold on FleaBay two months ago for $5k...what kind of stupid scam is that?

C; Put an ad in yesterday for 2 Deluxe wire rims from my last Heritage, complete with rotors, bearings and sprocket, inperfect condition and usedonly 6 months. Also a set of brand new unmounted Commander II tires. $500 ..just want to get rid of them. One guys emails me that he doesn't want the tires but he'll give me $250 for the rims. you can't buy the rotors for that price from Harley.

OK...rant over!...I feel much better.

Hi, Rich....they're a pretty nice set up. I like the fact that you can use it on other bikes for a $200 fee. I just calibrated the speedometer on the Ultra with it.
