Who is that? Seems to me there used to be a guy that hung around every once in a while with that name. Had a wife that made some awesome bad *** food.

Mick, piece of advice coming form the owner of a business. An employee walks in, one who's worth every dime I pay him and a true asset to the company. Say's something like this.. The 25% is appreciated but I'd like you to consider adding an additional 25% to my 401k or annuity or health coverage or whatever. Those items are tax deductible for a business owner and it's also a deduction to their cost in workmans compensation insurance.

I'd say 90% of the time I say "Yes" when a valued employee reaches out for more money. Figure what their offering and negotiate.

Just my 2 cents

Can the loons in Hollywood get any crazier? The sex abuse scandals are of course now the flavor of the month. The Today show has former child actor Corey Feldman talking about how he was abused, along with thousands of others, but refuses to name names because he is currently raising 10 million dollars so he can instead make a film about it. Am I missing something?

Rich, good advice. You always have to weigh the true cost of replacing a valued employee.

I have that on in the background. He says he reported all the names to the police but they were too busy chasing Michael Jackson. "Just give me 10 million and all will be made clear"

Wait a tick! If the trip originates in Canada and he is working for Canadian dollars, wouldn't he also be working Canadian hours? And, if memory serves, those hours are shorter (Hearing some brag about their staying power, shorter hours have to be the only explanation) then won't Russ actually break even or come out ahead?
