Have you looked into the 6.5 Grendel? Similar performance to a 308 but a lighter rifle and less kick. Looks like a lot of hunters are switching over.

Those custom rounds may work just fine, but when the rubber meets the road, you won't be able to walk into the local Wally World and pick up a couple boxes.

Minimum ammunition size to hunt big game here is .23 caliber.

Evenin, Woods. Lou, is your AR compliant in CA because of the number of rounds it will hold?

It's a standard round now. We even have them at Walmart. All of the big companies have started making them. About 25 cents a round.

The only magazines I have are 20 round M16 mags. I need to buy some 10 round mags.

Makes sense up there. Wood hate not to have a kill shot with a small round.
