Sounds like an air leak somewhere, or a stuck cable...can't be too serious. Carbs are pretty simple on those things.

I just happen to be finishing up a refurbishing on one, as we speak....

I see all this snowblower talk has attracted you as a moth to a flame, Al. Or Larry to a redhead.

Ya know, sometimes things just come to ya at the weirdest moments. There is a thread titled as this and I thought...man, if the Woods ever make a Biker Porno I wanna be in it and have the screen name...Miles Ridden.

I think I need to go outside and yard shuffle while I wait for it to warm enough to ride.

I'm in snowblower mode . Played "musical snowblowers" this weekend. Traded my 14 y/o 8.5 HP big snowblower to my SIL for a new Ariens single stage. That went up to my mother's house, then I took hers which is identical to the one I traded except it has an electrical chute. Going over the whole thing right now...........LET IT &^%$%^& SN*W......I'm ready!

Greg, if the carb is a major problem, you can buy new ones on Amazon for under $20!

Thanks, Al. It does seem to have an air leak. Whoever designed this thing must've worked for Harley or Honda; gotta take off $1000 worth of **** to get at the critical $5 part.

If you're getting down to carb, may as well give it a good going over. Pay particular attention to the main jet in the fuel bowl.
