Our state legislature is currently having one hell of a fight over imposing a 1.50 per pack tax on cigarettes. I find it interesting the national estimates for care related to smoking related ailments is 150 billion dollars. The costs related to medical ailments related to obesity is 147 billion but I hear nothing about taxing the **** out of candy and fast food.
