Mornin Al. Ballgame postponed yesterday. Got called over to granddaughter Home field to add some grommets to the netting they were putting up on outfield fence. They practice on the field this afternoon and have a game scheduled on it Thursday. They said rain or shine they were gonna play.

Condolences.. Rocket. I have lost too many family and friends this past year. Guess it’s to be expected as ya get older. But still hard to go through.

Losing so many family and friends as you get older can be kinda lonely sometimes. The younger generations taking over just don't fill the gaps, nice enough kids and and some I'm really fond of, but we don't really have a comfortable fit, life experiences have been so different. My daughter said something once that made me think she has some understanding of what life was like for a lot of guys in my generation, said she feels lucky she was even born.
That perfect Minnysota weather that can last 2 or 4 weeks a year is here, mid 60's to 70, but no rain and when I took my granddaughter for a stroller ride in the neighborhood, the stroller was leaving salt tracks. I'm hearing a lot of Harleys on a nearby highway, and there's probably little salt on the heavy traffic roads now, gets blown off, but I'd get in plenty getting to the busier roads, still areas with unmelted salt chunks in little piles.
Went out though the garage with my Granddaughter, and she went right to the Ural, put her hand on it, and said, "Side" a few times; that's her version of outside and "I wanna go outside", and she gets loud if I say no. So she got her first motorcycle ride; the cages blocked the driveway, so I just let her sit in the tub while we rolled backwards to the truck and then motored back into the garage. Now she's had 3 trips by motorcycle, all about 12' long. Had a big grin. Then she inspected the other bikes, wonder how long it'll be before she gets pissed off when she taps a Harley and says "side" and I say no...
