Everything going ok in Vegas?

 

Yep, things have settled down a bit since Oct. 1st, the VGK's are doing well, it's Friday and it's 77* at 9 AM in the morning!

 

It’s just not warming up this morning. 11 above with wind chill of 9 below. 22 mph wind. Not very pleasant outside.

 

Lot warmer down here, 19. I'd guess some of the wind gusts are topping 22, even the big trees look a bit agitated.

 

Yikes that is cold! I rode to work today no jacket, no gloves.........but we'll be cooking eggs on the asphalt here before you know it.

 

I've been through Vegas a few times, at least once was around 110. Riding in 110 with real low humidity feels like someone opened a big oven door, just bakes you. I learned quickly to wear gloves, long sleeve shirt, and if no windshield, at least a 3/4 helmet with a face shield, skin would get so hot it was painful. Lot of folks in the Southwest seemed to do ok with baking in the sun, though. Guess I have tender skin.

 

Spent the summer after I got of the service in Vegas roofing. Working with hot Asphalt heated up to 520 degrees was not a fun job.
