Lunch time, forum check first. Got about 1/4" of snood last nite, another layer of salt this morning. So much out there now puddles are saturated, salt chunks ain't melting in them. Would do a milk run, but trying to wait for dry road, splash through this chit and it'll take another year or two off the van's life. Which is probably all it has left anyway...

I got maybe 2000 (yes, two thousand!) miles on my last front pads. It often sat 5-10 days without moving, and would really grind the first 2 or 3 brake applications - grinding the rust off the rotors. Ground the pads off, too. New pads and rotors this summer, if I can just keep it out of saltwater this winter... not likely. My people favors and rescues are almost always in heavy salt slop conditions in the the winter, frustrating sometimes.
