If I had a rig like that, Al, I'd do a few of the neighbors, too. If I could get outta bed as early as they do...

My Dad's been gone a while, cancer at 75. Was on the line a little south of the unit featured in Band of Brothers. Didn't say much about it, but told me long before the book about feeling bad when they took a house they were getting fire from, and found a bunch of dead kids, just like in the tv series. Saw a P47 strafing Germans they were chasing across a field run out of ammo and come back around with his prop in the weeds. Said that must have been the angriest man he ever saw, and was glad he wasn't the mechanic that had to clean out that big radial engine. His unit was one of the first on the scene at one of the concentration camps, just said it was awful. Two purple hearts, both bullets.

Then he got to do another war. My 12 months was a picnic compared to his years. Korea - I never looked as good or as tough as he did.

 

You all keep usin that 4 letter word and I'm gonna have to do somethin about it

Afternoon check in, had some sand on the truck this morning but it's gone now. Stuff on the ground is gone too. 27 here.
