Exactly.... got 172k on the Ram with only minor issues. Ranger I'm working on has around 160k on the 4.0 and runs great.

Cloudy and raining here. Eclipse supposed to be here in a couple minutes. Ain't gonna see it. It's only a 3/4 eclipse in this area. I will be 149 years old when the next full eclipse comes through Minnesota.

I ran the numbers on my Ram... it was assembled here, not mexico. Same with my explorer. Don't know about the OL's Sonic or the daughter's Dart. Eclipse is over, back to work

If I hadn't heard it on the news, I wouldn't have known there was an eclipse. Yeah, got slightly darker at the time, but was overcast so I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't looking for it. Hour later it was even darker when the thunderboomers arrived.
I've had mostly good luck with American cars, and a lot of those were fairly high mileage when I got them. Had two new Toyotas in the 70's, block cracked at 70,000 on one, other (small pickup) I had to do major work on the first year. You paid so much for "warranty" work for Toyotas at the time I did it all myself so it would be done right and probably as cheap. Daughter has a Toyota Vensa, really nice car, been trouble free, but I wouldn't buy one. If I ever have to replace my Chevy pickup, it'll be another American pickup, about the only vehicles left I'm not cramped in. Ride real nice, too.
