Hi Doc, John and Al. It is in the low fifties and might break through the sixties later. Non stop drizzly weather for most of last week and intermittant rain for this week. Lots of wonderful time in the garage doing maintenance before the snow with Buster. Oil changed on the Harley and the new rider that has a new battery, solenoid, and a starter. It has very few miles on it , a 13.5 Craftsman rear engine rider with an American made Tecumseh. No plastic, an all steel body. The blade was still sharp and after I cleaned the carb it runs great. The problem for the previous owner I think, was the choke was sticking shut and a magnet in the starter was broken. I still have to change oil on the new big snow blower, as well as change the carb on the little one. I won't rebuild it as the ebay carb was cheaper then the carb parts kit, go figure. I hope to get in a walk in between the sprinkles. I went to the apple orchard and had my first doughnut in six months with a dixie cup of cider. Good stuff.

I went for a ride with Sprtser Paul the other day and my light weight nylon harley jacket was not warm enough. I actuall had to break out the Tourmaster all season riding coat. Every year when I put on the heavy stuff in the fall, I am amazed at how bulky it feels. But, once i get out on the road Iforget all about it. I have the electric liner standing by in reserve. I vow I will actually put it in the saddlebag so the first time the temp drops 20 or 30 degrees when I'm 660 miles from home it'll be t the ready lol. Every year I freeze my ***** off once or twice.

Ex's boyfriend/companion of several years decided to leave the country, gonna go over to her place later and jump start (hopefully, been sitting over 2 years) and air up a flat tire or put the spare on. She's donating it to the DAV, all we have to do is move it out where they can reach it. She's only asked for help a couple times in the past 15 years, doesn't abuse it, so I'll keep the relationship polite. Audrey's Mom, after all, she's even going to meet me there to help if needed. Supposed to get 3 days of rain, some of it heavy, starting this evening. Might give the rainsuit another try if it isn't too cold. My fingers started getting numb yesterday just picking some stuff in the garden. Shortest summer in the 29 years I've been here. Sometimes I miss Arizona.

Evenin Coastie, Moldy. Way too much talk of snow. Moldy, you're a better man than I. My ex and I will probably never be sociable again. Too much water under that bridge

Depends how it ends. If one just wants to start over on their own, like mine did, and the other one, like me, doesn't fight it, lets them go without fuss, it doesn't have to be too painful. Seems like a lot of the time, the woman is really pissed if she's left, and wants to get a pound of flesh for it - pretty much eliminates any further sociability, or leaves because she's pissed about something and wants that pound of flesh. Mine was pretty reasonable, but I don't think I've ever known another guy (been a lot of them, too) that had a wife that wanted a reasonable divorce, unless you call getting everything she could get out of it reasonable. When I say pretty reasonable, since the divorce I bought an 8 year old minivan and last year a 13 year old pickup; she's on her third new car. That I know of... Considering my state of contentment now and hers, to be fair, I'd say it was worth it.

The weather guessers changed gears and are now forcasting near 80 for tomorrow. I will be riding, have a disabled buddy who needs a quart of milk...40 miles to the East. I have to pass at least two apple orchards...hmmm. I had a salad for lunch today...Moldy I am in a similar situation...with the mother of my daughter. Much better emotionaly for her and only her feelings matter to me. We have even had her teach classes in our store, she's a fine woman.
