Spreading the load - I have the 2 year old girl, another Grandma has the boy today. Not hot...yet... but it feels like I'm breathing heavy air out there. Humidity just isn't giving up. 70's coming up next week, that'll be a relief. Few bucks off the ac bill, too.
Today's gonna be a take it easy day, surprised I ain't all stiff & sore from the last 3 days activity, lot more hours on me feet than usual, maybe 'cause I kept the weight lifting down around 60 lbs max. Hate it, but I gotta admit, my 100 lb plus days without pain are about over.
Gonna have lots of fresh salad with tomatoes, darned 'maters look like most of them are gonna get ripe at the same time, starting today. Sure stayed green a long time this year. In spite of the late start, looks like I'm gonna have a good crop of 'maters, peppers and squash. And a pumpkin and two big Amish something squash I only planted once 3 or 4 years ago, don't know where that one came from.

My lawn needs a trim, but it's growing slow with no rain for a while, gonna wait for a rain, save a tank of gas. I figure it's $3-5 for the whole yard. 20 sumptin hp mowers don't even get a mile per gallon.

Mornin Moldy. I decided to put off grass cutting. Some areas of yard could use it and not so much for other parts of the yard.
I got a little red wagon at northern equipment last year to haul the heavy stuff from the garage to the house. Like dog food or the weeks of groceries. Helps a lot on my back and hips.

Audrey's husband borrowed my wheelbarrow when he was working on the pool repair, and broke a wheel, still has it. They also still have my 2 wheel hand truck. When I bring something home in the pickup that's just too heavy to carry, and goes around back, I hook the garden trailer up to the mower and pull it up to the tailgate. Attached garage, and I seldom bring home a lot of groceries, so that's not a problem. Usually picking something up isn't a problem at the time, it's how I feel a few hours later. Just have to know what my limits are and act accordingly. I haven't hurt meself for two weeks now.

Man dies after industrial accident
BY PAIGE STANAGEA Cookeville man succumbed to injuries following an industrial accident late Wednesday morning.
Algood Police Chief Dale Armour said Dewey Mayberry, 65, was performing typical job duties at M.E. Industries, Inc. in Algood when a highly pressurized tank went off and hit him in the chest.
"They (the flange) are about the size of a salad plate, so about six inches in diameter, but the metal is really thick," Armour said.
Mayberry was transported to Cookeville Regional Medical Center where he later died from the injuries.
The accident may be investigated by Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
"We conducted the initial report," Armour said. "There was a mention of an OSHA investigation but we have not heard from them."
M.E. Industries Inc. is an refueling equipment company. According to the company website, it manufactures filters and filter separators for the U.S. military and commercial aviation customers.
They also make custom filter housings and pressure vessels.
Mayberry has been employed there since 2003..

I worked with Dewey at M.E fo 6 years. Remember the first time I met you Doc, I took you by the plant I worked in? Dewey was a great guy, sucks going to work and dieing.

Sorry to hear that JDub. Person shouldn’t have to worry about not leaving work at the end of their shift. 6 people died at the papermill I worked at during the 37 years I worked there.
