Morning Al. Doc. Tic, andKen and MIke. Buster is fed his dog food with canned salmon on top. I am drinking the last cup of leftover coffee, but made a fresh pot for Sugarlips. Buster is happy and snuggling tight as I have the doorwall open and it is cool. I walked a total of 3 mile (slowly with Bust-a-move)after golfing 6 (Got tired) holes yesterday so pushed myself pretty good. It is supposed to rain this afternoon so good day to straighten the grudge.

Morning check in. Cool in the garage this morning. Gotta put one of the new trailer wheels on, make sure they fit. Probably shoulda done that before I had tires put on... But they're the same size as the originals, should fit. I've said that before... Fiddling with a drum brake that has cam adjusters, never ran into that before. Old stuf. Irrelevant memory: I think the oldest vehicle I've worked on was a 30's railroad switch engine, originally steam powered, small thing (relative to the big ones) used to move cars into position in railroad yards. This one had been converted to wheels - big, with massive internal gearing to keep it slow - and a big block gas engine, forget what kind. Actually, about the only thing original to when it was steam was the thick cast body. Was re-purposed as an aircraft tug that could handle up to 727s. Remember that ad years (decades?) back with a Chevy pickup pulling a 747? This tug couldn't do that, and it would have easily pulled away with 2 or 4 Chevy pickups trying to hold it back. Talk about misleading advertising...
Ok, enuf mental wandering, back to the grudge. Wait, one more - the wheel/axle bearings that brake was on had Timken bearings stamped made in USA. Been a while since I've seen that on a vehicle.

Night shift checkin in. Double time tonight, have some sprinkles with that ice cream Tick. It's on me
Evening John. Got no ice cream in the freezer and was to lazy to go shopping today. Was playing with my new Traeger grill last night. Cooked up some hamburgers and then smoked some hard boiled eggs. Didn’t get a lot of smoke flavor on the eggs. Will try slicing them in half next time and see if that helps.
saturday, rains a comin' ;; tag sale on all the same
