Too wet to do anything outside, 2 grandkids here today, good, I can rest a bit. Last two days were way beyond my normal physical activity. Even had to borrow a neighbor's kid (early 20's, lot stronger than I am now) a couple times. Rain forest climate didn't help. Had to fill up the truck again, that's 35.7 gallons of gas this year. Bit over 17mpg this last tank, but I guess when you use 35.7 gallons of gas in 6 months, why care what the mileage is.
Ordered right about $500 in tires, brake pads and wheel bearings yesturday. I gotta get rid of 2 or 4 bikes, getting to where parts for them is like buying another bike every few years. Wait, I do buy another bike every few years. Gotta stop doing that. Next year...
Someone liked her first wind in the face experience this evening. Just on my short dead end cul de sac, might've hit 20. She was shrieking and laughing the whole time. 2 or 3 more years and a helmet, she might get a real ride. Or a dirt farm road sooner if Mom takes her there in the car.
Morning Doc , Tic. Just got back in from unloading the overnight. Hot , humid , I'm soaked. Hey not complaining , would rather have this than ice, snow and cold.
Boss is making me take my three weeks of vacation and sick days. Take it or lose it. Never took more than a week and thankfully , never have used up all my sick time in a year. Used to just take the $$$'s at years end. Sure helped when the kids were young and the wife wasn't working. Taking next week off and resting up.
