Howdy, Tick, S'posed to be mid 80's today. Wife better turn on the new A/C system or I'm gonna be pissed.
Mid 80s here yesterday with thunderstorms Mornin and afternoon. So humidity was high. Same on tap for weekend. Think I saved the forecast for last Christmas. Will see if I can find it.

Woke up around 4 to nature's bass symphony. Thunderboomers and pounding rain, like that better than music. Today's music, anyway. Garden stuff is finished enough I can just let it grow in the mud till I need to deal with the weeds, think I'll catch up on stuf in the air conditioned house.
Got a new battree for the 1200 last summer, failed already. One of the things I'd do if I had a time machine would be go back to the 60's and get batteries. Car and bike batteries lasted 5-7 years back then. Now, I'm lucky to get 3 for a car, and I've had bike batteries go in 2 years; this is the first in less than one. Thinking about eating the warranty and getting a lithium for it. I'd wonder about a drain on the battery taking it down overnite, but if I charge it, start it, shut it off, start it again, it goes dead on the second or third try. Been taking a risk with "don't turn it off!" rides, but think I'd best park it till I get a new battery.
This is awful weather for May, hope it's not a harbinger of meltdown in July and August.

I'd take cool wet over roasting and dry. When I lived in Phoenix, I actually liked riding in the rain to cool off. It's so humid out it would be cool riding at 40 or better today, but slow traffic and stoplights would be miserable. This week, daily, heard lots of bikes, so far today, none.
