I know that feeling. I am thankful for happy meal toys that are disposable. But you are past the point of happy meals now, I bet

Morning Y'all meanie parents who make their kids play outside.

My son is grown up and has a son of his own and his own place. My daughter is special needs and lives at home. She has a full time job, her own health insurance, earns vacation, etc....

Teaching strong work ethic to your kids will always benefit them. I dont think we ever forced them to do anything, just tried to show that we worked for what we have.

Rain all week in the forecast, trying to get the pool open finally, and coffee is on........

We got the kids Android tablets...they are aimed at educational/learning apps but then they both figured out how to get to Youtube, Netflix and the games that are not educational (just fun stuff). I sure hope they are that determined when I throw the "Python for Kids" programming book in their laps in a few years

I also encourage building with Legos, Mag Snaps, building pillow/blanket forts and drawing on cardboard to make whatever they want to exercise their imagination...some days I am more successful than others.
