Mick could come down I-44 on the way down, then take I-20 back to Ft Worth and up I-35 home. Checked it on Mapquest and it's the same distance either way. Hell, I might ride back to Ft Worth and come up 287 or the back way on Jacksboro Hwy..

I like going through Jacksboro. There's a real little cutie that works at the gas station/cafe there named Misty.

Morning, Woodys!

Boy, sleep in a few extra minutes and the place goes crazy.

Dog walk complete and I see travel plans being formulated for next Saturday. I-44 towards Jack's direction works for me or down 35 and through the megalopolis of Fort Worth.

I have an uncle who has a picture of main street in Jacksboro that was taken in 1905. It is hanging in his living room and every time I see him we go over the pic in detail. EVERY TIME, EVERY DETAIL.

I assume you'll be giving the picture a place of honor in your home? You don't want to come through Ft. Worth on I-35 Mick. Trust me on this.

That's gonna be a pretty good ride Mick. Do you want to postpone the arrival time until 1 or 2 PM?

Makes me no difference, Russ. Appears to be about 300 miles. At 27 MPH, appropriate rest breaks, potty breaks, sight seeing, etc. I figure if I start about noon Friday I can be there on time.
