Battery in the gen set died (again) so bought a new one, put it in, realized I connected it wrong (in a hurry) and wouldn't start after switching the cables. Looked around, saw a burnt fuse, changed it out and a bit of smoke and burnt fuse again and no start. Seeing where the smoke was coming from, figured I burnt the board for the command start. Removed it and hooked it back to original and vroom. Kinda glad it burnt up, was contemplating removing the POS. Damn thing kills batteries and because its an electronic choke, if the battery dies you can't pull start it because you have to remove the manual choke. Went back to the Yammy dealer asked for warranty (5 years old), he laughed. Knew my story as I was texting him, laughing at myself. Gave him the old parts in case someone needs a servo motor or a remote.

 

Those guys are hard to find but when you do, don't let go!

He's a moody sumbitch sometimes and has cursed me out more than once over stuff, but damn he knows his Harleys!

The mountains and foothills are supposed to get pounded, they're talking "feet" up there. We may see a few inches in the city. Any more than that and it'll be a tree buster.
