Yep, I still use the factory rubber pedal, it sticks out beyond the foot board, barely have to lift my foot to shift.

Dan, here's a pic. People always complaining about the HD lever falling off and how they're imported crap. This is aftermarket imported crap, costs around $25, matches the stock lever. I've used this same one on my '12 Heritage and then on the Ultra...55,000 miles on it and never a problem

I think it makes it much easier to find neutral, too. Better leverage with less force and you can rest most of your foot pushing it in to neutral.

When using my heal now, I can find neutral no problem. Toe is hard and I csn only find it while moving.
