Field trips are less? I would have thought it would be a bit more, to entice drivers.

It's real hard to get drivers ... all the districts near me are actively looking for drivers and offering incentives to train.

We CANNOT go over 40 hours or we receive a written reprimand and three days off. My route ( one of the longest, time wise ) pays 33 hours per week.

Can you "clock out" when you are not actively transporting the kids to make sure you don't go over? If you stop for gas, or a soda an a snack on your way to/from the bus barn or school to pick up? Never been in that line of work, not sure what is considered billable time
