Same school but Kinder gets out 5 minutes earlier. Kindergartners are escorted to their buses the whole year. 1st-5th get out of class and get to find their own way

This happens more often than you would think ... especially the first few days of school. We have tags that are color coordinated to specific buses. This helps, but it's still up to the driver to inspect the tags as the little ones board. Nothing worse than getting to a stop and a parent is standing there waiting for their child and he/she is not on the bus. Some freak out and others just say "Bring 'em home when you find them" ... We'll do an "All Call" and each bus must stop, check for the student and reply back to base.

For some reason both my kids were listed to be on both routes, which are next to each other, so they were allowed to get on the wrong bus. Their bus badges/passes are not color coded and the scanner on the buses only checks that if a badge is scanned getting on it should have a scan for getting off....something like that, I was a bit excited and may have understood. Sounds way too simplistic but then I don't want my kids to have a chip like a dog...no offense to dog owners

Hi mark and good to hear the little ones are back safe. That wood not been good.

 

Damn.. Your kids are a bit young for cell phones but when they get a little older you get an app called life360 tracks them down with GPS anywhere and it tells you how they drive ect. My daughter hates it, needless to say, we love it.

Glad it all worked out and kids are safe.
