As fast as the 80's and 90's wrestlers are falling, I'm surprised he's still around.

No kidding! He has been looking worse each time he has appeared on the TV wrestling shows. He survived a plane crash that broke his back and I think a car accident or 2. He has been there and done that, all while being one of the best, if not indeed the very best, performers in his profession.

I heard he once carried a 60 minute match against a guy that was so strung out on heroin that he tied his own boot laces to the legs of the chair in his dressing room. They found the guy, got him awake enough to get him to the ring and Ric put on a show to make the guy look credible that night.

 

I wouldn't doubt it. Wouldn't want to be in the same ring with him either.

Only HBK could come close to his charisma, interview skills and in ring ability. But that is 2 different eras in the sport...Ric paved the way for the HBK's and Rock's of the newer eras.
