Time flies too fast!

 

Wait till they get in high school and you are no longer the coolest dude they know.

 

That seems so far away.

I joke about those days, Rick..."I can't wait til they don't want or need me around" but I know it will be hard on me. Of course, that is assuming they aren't in military school by then.

I think with both them gone all day will be quite an adjustment for me. Working from home with one or both of them here can be like juggling chainsaws and at first I'll enjoy being able to relax and focus more, but then I will miss hearing them. But they'll only be gone from 0830 til 1600.

It's not an easy transition, like many of us who have been through it tell every parent we know: Use the time you have wisely as it passes quickly.

I truly wish someone had beat that in my brain when my kids were younger, cause the time is irreplaceable.

 

That is why I try to take Benjamin for little rides when I can. He isn't big enough for me to be comfortable taking him out on anything but county or frontage roads.
