Salad, with or without cucumber?

 

Well...yeah. What's a salad without cucumber? Just a bunch of limp greens.

 

I despise cucumber.

 

Limp is no good.

 

Last day of school tomorrow! Might even pick the boy after his last day picnic up on the bike if the weather holds and the wife doesn't figure out some alternative plan to transport him.

 

Tomorrow is supoosed to be the nicest day of the week, Mark!

Sucks that I have back to back con calls at 12 and 1 or else I know I would be there to get him. Beth thinks that "Parents are encouraged to sign their child out after the picnic" means there will be no one to watch the kids who are not fortunate enough to have a parent off work to get them early or attend the picnic. I haven't been up for an argument lately so did not want to state it that way to her.

 

Mark2, what would be cool! I've taken my oldest to school a few times on the bike and he liked it.

 

I can definitely live without them, except as pickles. Gotta have dill pickles on peanut butter samiches.

I had cucumbers in the garden last year that were way bigger than than in Lou's pic. Had 3 or 4 plants and must have had over a hundred big ones. Grew em for a lady friend that likes them with every lunch. Gave em to neighbors. Tossed a bunch that got rotten down in the gully. Loaded a bunch in the sidecar one day and rode around the neighborhood letting my grandson hand them out. This year... none of the seeds came up. Need to get new seeds, I guess, and it's getting late for that.
