Punkin, Good decision and great parenting on your part. My folks said I could have a car a 16 but I had to pay for everything that came with it which meant a job or I could drive their car and not work....I chose my own ride. I had a part time J.O.B from the time I got my drivers license until I landed my first full-time gig. I wished I had held off on it until later and concentrated on my studies also. It also put quite a crimp in my social life......

 

My first part time gig was at Long John Silvers. I would leave that joint smelling like grease and food to the point I did not want to socialize with myself and often times rebuffed my own lewd advances

 

I started in the drive-thru at Hardees at 16. When the powers that be realized that I had a talent for making biscuits, I became the Official Biscuit Maker. I got to work at 5am during the summer and worked until noon....all summer long.

 

Ugh, 5 AM for a teen in the summer is awful. I used to close at LJS and McD's when I worked there. Nothing like missing out on all the summer parties while working til 11-12

 

Back from school and waiting fer the grass to dry out so I can cut it.
