Ugh! Spent the day at the Milwaukee VA Hospital getting poked and prodded. Been putting it off for 45 years, LOL. Been getting some bennies from Agent Orange crap, but seeing what else is available. *sigh*
Been told I should do that. At 70, wonder what difference it could make. Thought about going to the VA when I had cold weather pain from a leg wound when I moved to MN, but after one winter up here, it went away and I never bothered. Probably no record of that happening anyway, and how would I prove it.

My daughter did that for a while, hadn't thought about hers doing it. I take the boy to various ball practices and games occasionally. I'm a bad grandpa, I find the little kid activities kinda boring, take a book along. But I never tell them that. When my daughter got to high school, it got more interesting. Then when they grow up, you miss that time with them. Never took louies, but there sure were some nice looking young mommas. Some of em young enough to be my kid, had my daughter when I was 37.
Outside with the grandkids this morning, heard a muffled but heavy thud, and thought that sounded like an explosion (I've heard a lot of those). Evening news, a school had a gas leak blow out the middle of a two story building around 18 miles away. Killed an adult woman (young and really pretty), injured several. If that had happened next month with rooms full of kids, it might have been one of the worst school catastrophes the country's ever had. That's the second gas explosion I've heard living here, other one rattled my house windows a little.
