.89 Huh? Last of the big time spenders. Is an IHOP dinner in store next?

Yes I did. This will require more research as I am a fan of rare to medium rare. Did you want the Traeger because it uses wood or was there some other reason? The gas grill didn't taste as good? How much are pellets? How long does the bag of pellets last? If you fill up the auger, will it cook all night as in doing a brisket? Can you control the cooking via wireless and monitor temperature?

Well, we got it cuz it is supposed to be "the" grill and the best of all worlds in grilling. Being wood fired for the flavor was a big factor. I've been cooking on a gas grill for 30 years and it was time for a change.
The flavor is outstanding, a world of difference from gas.
You can't burn anything, a big plus. You can cook anything you want to desired doneness.
It does go through pellets. A 20# bag at Home Cheapo is $20. A 33# bag at Costco is $20.
I would think a hopper load would last all night at a low temp or smoking temp.
You can monitor the temp with such devices. Tim uses a Weber thermometer.
I used something Glo has around here tonight.

Thank you Greg. I've never used gas or pellets. Always been charcoal or wood.

So far, I'm very happy with it. One other thing; you need access to electrical power.
