Found a picture of correct timing. It looks like black links are supposed to line up with the timing marks. While my sprockets look to be in the correct position the black links on my chain are about 90 degrees off. I'll investigate it more tomorrow.

Well taking the kiddo to the fair tonight. Should be less people to deal with. Tonight is Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons.
