So the transformer exploded dropping some fire into the weeds?

 

That's how it looked.

 

We stopped it at a half acre. Wind was in our favor. Once we had it under control 7 fire trucks and 2 hand crews and like 10 supervisors showed up. I guess they were board. All we had was one water truck and 3 skip n drags.

never seen a one of those transformer explode, but I hear it's quite the show. I was here when we blew up a main transformer on the unit... that was a show I never wanna see again
