I am not a planner most times I go riding. I usually go east to avoid the crowds in the mountains but ride there occasionally

Maybe in a couple of years when I retire I can be more spontaneous. But, I'm still a bit limited in the distance I go, since not coming home would worry my boys. And I'm not totally badass in that I travel alone. WS17 will be my first solo journey of any significance.

One long weekend we said "let's go to NYC" Well we headed out and half way there I says "I don't want to go to NYC, Lets go to Atlantic City! Well we put $20 in a slot machine and decided to get out of there. We ended up somewhere in Georgia?

Nice, Mike! I wish I had the ability to take off like that. It'll be quite a few more years before I can even try that....and it will be alone

We did A LOT of traveling when we were working and on a whim we wood end up anywhere! We were off work and left on a Wednesday morning and ended up in the RMNP. Had to be back at work on Monday.

Beth won't ride at all. She doesn't feel comfortable on the bike and to her travel has to be with a specific purpose and destination.

We even had a pretty good crash in San Fransisco and she has no fear getting back on.
