Old Grand Dad. Snagged a pint off the bottom shelf one time many years ago & headed for the hills just me & the dog. Sat drinkin' it around the fire & at some point hit the sack. Sometime before sunup I woke up & I swear to God I thought I was gonna die. Told God if this is how it's gonna be just take me now. Managed to get out of the camper & on hands & knees crawled around to the cab, made my way in, & drove to water. 2 lessons learned. Bring water. & most importantly, never ever, go for the bottom shelf. lol
On a positive note, while I was recovering, (after copious amounts of water), a good sized Peregrine Falcon came & landed right at eye level outside the truck window on a cut pine branch. He sat there for a while. Only time I ever seen a wild bird of prey up that close. It was very cool.

 

Fathers day was mellow. Burgers & a dog with the kids & a nice sunset ride to the foothills & back. Good stuff.

 

Had to replace the seal in the other fork leg yesterday. The bolt that holds the slider, much to my dismay, was broke. That's from the factory. Had to drill out the busted piece. Wasn't bad. Came right out. New bolt cost a buck. Also, the slider cap bolt was loose. Just a heads up.

 

The service manual index states, "Front Fork..." as if there was rear forks. lol
