OK I had to turn on DLNA first, but I am still having rendering issues even on a hard wired TV. I think it's because it is a stupid Sony TV. I can "see" the music albums but when I select them it says the there is nothing in there. On my TV that I have the Amazon Fire plugged into, music plays perfectly even over wireless.

Sounds like you are on the right trail, Russ. If it works on other TV's then it is not Plex or the server or the network...hell, who am I tellin? You prolly do something similar on planes to find trouble
