Morning Mark. I have always been told that it was my wife that married the ***...

There are quite a few great roads in the area Al. We will be on many of them.

I first rode the Dragon back in the 70's. I have to give credit for the marketing that has been done for increasing it's popularity. Most dangerous road, number of people killed, etc. It has been marketed to the point now that most people even think it's called "The Tail of the Dragon" thanks to the folks that own the little souvenir shop at Deals Gap.

We will do our best to avoid all crazies except for ones in our own group.

Awesome! Traveling with a celebrity has its perks!

We'll probably be there on the 13th

If you tell Dale that your name is Dale too he'll hook you up with a free hat. Our wives were bored to tears after about 45mins but that place is awesome. I could've spent the whole day in there looking around.

We had a Dale in our bunch so that's how I know about the hat deal. And no I didn't tell him my name was Dale too Lol.

Got me wishing my name was Dale!

If you like old bikes that place should definitely be on your "to do" list.

One of the best things to me is that they about all run and are ridden occasionally instead of just being polished eye candy

Last time I was down there, there was a bus trip of really old Senior Citizens. Dale was giving some of the old ladies rides on a sidecar bike. he'd "fly' the sidecar with them in it...they were having a blast!

Yessir Dale was starting up a couple of the old Lincolns and Caddys showing them to a group of guys that were there and the fumes really got to the wives. To us gearheads that was pure nectar floating in the air.

Negotiations continue with Tina about Woodstock 17, NASCAR race live is definitely not her thing so I would have to give her the truck and some money and send her shopping for the day. Good thing I got a good deal on the lodging and the race ticket because the price of everything else just doubled.
