Besides the cam and the tune, what was the total makeover on Blue, Tracy? Since our bikes are so similar I'd like to know what my options are.

I don't have to downshift to pass anymore!
I think I just scanned my dyno sheets, made a folder on my desktop and saved them there.
Went to the "Attach files" thing and downloaded them to my post that way.

I think..

I don't have an itemized list on front of me but:

95" bore cylinders (bought used cylinders and had them bored out)
10.5 compression pistons
509 cams
Stock heads re-built ( I was getting some blow by, so re-ground the valve seats and valves. OE had 60K on 'em)
New valve springs
Rock Outs
Re-map from MM
Dyno tune

Total cost about $2,000

I think that was all...

I already had the V&H Tru-Dual headers on her.

Thanks, Tracy! I am not sure if I will do anything this year. Maybe a winter project for 2017-18

Lurking check-in. Getting ready for another day of caretaker and chauffeur for Pops today.
Anytime I get internally pissy about it, I think back to the BS I put him through, and it's all good! I'll be checking in but you all have a superbular day.........

Fixed it..

LOL That was actually a concern buddy and one of the reasons I didn't really go as far as I had originally intended. It is a touring bike and I do like to tour on it.

I haven't had a chance to get it out on the slab to check the mpg. But right now between start and stop and some highway stuff I'm averaging about 36mpg as far as I can tell.
