Training over for the day. Working with a great new dealer.
It was odd .... something I couldn't put my finger on. A good feeling.
Then I realized these folks were not only listening to me ...... with some interest in what I had to say, and actually felt they were learning good information !!
I've gotten too used to my management ignoring me/us in our division and not listening.
It be like "Don't confuse me with the facts".......
End of rant :-)

Evening Woods.

Well, the boy and I went up to a local church camp to look at possible Eagle Scout projects. The director showed us a few things that would qualify nicely but he is really pushing us toward rebuilding a walk bridge across a little branch that runs through the camp. It would be a BIG project and since he wants a lot of it built "rustic" using natural wood, also complicated to build it right so it is both safe and sturdy and will last a good long time as is fitting for such a project.

I am torn..

Although I am confident I can build the bridge and make it sturdy enough to support the weight of all the people you can crowd onto it, this is not a small thing. It will be about 4' wide and a little better than 20' long and have a cedar shake roof on it. It will also need concrete piers on each bank.

Big job to say the least...

Sucks, but I have to concur.
Just wait until the 16 and 17 year olds say "Hey !! How many people can we fit on the bridge !!" Then they start jumping up and down. You can fill in the rest.

On the other hand, when Tracy and his son get done with the design and initial construction phase ..........
