Evening fellers.
Had a great little 75 mile ride today after all. It was just too nice out not to, so I rode instead of washed!
I swear I just don't know how Ol' Blue could be tuned any better than she is right now. Throttle response is awesome and no decel pop. Filled up with close to 135 miles on the odometer since the last fill and it took 3.8 gal. (almost 36 mpg and the majority of that is start and stop and not highway miles) But what with pulling my big *** around that 'aint bad and is close to what it was before the mods.
She is a little harder to start because of the added compression and that translates to a pause before she turns over, especially when hot, but hell it's about a 4 year old battery and that could be the culprit too.
Not sure why, but RPMs seem to be slightly lower (mebbe a hundred rpms) at a given speed than before.
I'm seriously considering foregoing the dyno tune if my guy thinks it would be alright. That's $475 that I have already paid for and could translate to more goodies to put on like a new better looking breather assembly and other stuff.
I don't know how much hp I picked up with the mods but my seat of the pants dyno sez wow!
I'm a happy biker!

Nice, Tracy!
Chuck, I thought you were just changing out the tires? If you have to remove all that other **** just to get the wheels off, maybe you should look at a manual!
