Poor parts availability from the mother ship (long waits) and lack of aftermarket.
Quite poor fit/finish but appears to be improving. Sloppy paint prep work.
Premature (10-14 month) rust on fenders/frames, except where there is a copious use of plastics.
Electrical issues and demons. Cheap looking control pods.
Engines that clack or make excessive noises that some owners call obnoxious, a "deal breaker" and embarrassing. Some have already dumped their bikes and went back to HD or other brands. Problem is...the cause has not known or "published" by Polaris, and owners are told they all do that. Odd thing is not all Indian 111's clack. It's inconsistent.
I could go on but this machine reminds me of a cross between a Gold Wing and an HD. It appears trade values are not holding in the real world.
Wow. I wood have never thought. Makes Mother Teresa look good is an understatement.

I am glad I went HD and not Indian now more and more. It will be interesting to see how my buddies Scout will do in the long run. It was delivered last week. He knew about the Victory calling it quits, but he didn't care.

Afternoon, Woods. Obscure reference to little known historical fact disguised as a set up for a double entendre. Said entendre delivered followed by several personal interpretations of same. My post is complete.

I can believe this trip has not been that great considering all the current variables.
Hang in there Fellow WoodMeister !

Dan, It seems the somewhat entry-level Scout with the water cooled motor has been the most trouble free platform by far, compared to the bigger bikes with the TS 111 V Twin, and the Scout motor doesn't clack. That still leaves you with possible frustration on the customer service/warranty end, but a good dealer can make most of that go away.

Perfectly fine fellers and appreciate your concern. Just a little conversation starter was all.
