Mick, I took a picture of the paint chip in my gas tank to a body shop that I had used before for collision repair on my truck. I showed him the touch up paint kit I had and asked if he would repair it for me. He said he would uses his method of matching the paint , shoot the area and re clear the spot. When I asked how much he said $400-500 dollars! I turned and left. Obviously he didn't want the job.
Him: No, but in case you were I didn't want to miss your business.

Maybe more.
Good painters aren't usually cheap.
Morning all, 29 degree's sunny and windy.
Take it easy on the moving and your knee Russ, easy to twist and hurt it doing that stuff.
Wife wants to go for a drive today, not sure what there is to see but i that's what she wants.
Might get lunch out of it.

That side job idea would be perfect but expect good painters are like good mechanics, they have more ( friends) than they want.

Chuck , you can always put a "bullet hole" sticker over it....too bad it's not that rare black color because electrical tape would work....

I love the bullet hole idea I could make up a great story to go with it.
