My second ex and I had gone our separate ways 3 years earlier and I had moved 5 states away, I get a child support garnishment on my check at work ????? Took a week or phone tag and ring around the rosy to find out what the hell was going on. She had filed for state aid after she came up preggers from a one night stand so the state decided to pursue me the ex of 3 years for support.
Real screwed part was since it was a 2 state deal cali decided to hit me for their rates which was twice what missouri wanted. Took 6 months and a lawyer to get the bastards to stop pulling $700 a month from me and prove to them I wasn't the father and that included my ex saying I wasn't from the beginning. I had to supply all kinda documents and eventually a blood test. No sorry, nothing and no refund they kept the money.

Nope.... She was straight up enough to tell me if she was getting it she'd send it back. Shocked her as well she knew the father but since he was a solo self employed contractor they couldn't nail down they went after the low hanging fruit instead.
